The Head Hunters story began in 1975 in a small factory off Wellington Road in Clayton, a partnership between a mechanical Engineer, an Automotive Machinist and a Welder who learnt their wares in the well known Australian Automotive Engineering and Auto parts business 'Repco'.
Head Hunters very soon built a quality name in the industry for being able to fix the unfixable, crack repairs and cast iron welding was the specialty as well as the usual Heavy engine reconditioning, whether it be Automotive, Truck, Bus, Earthmoving, Marine, Agricultural, Industrial or Mining, we did it, with engines coming in from across Australia Head Hunters became the 'Professional's Professionals'.
2006 saw William Adams P/L purchase the business and take on all of the loyal highly skilled employees, following a working relationship that spanned nearly 4 decades, With a new lease on life and a secure future the Head Hunters brand was reborn, in 2012 the business was relocated from Clayton where we were based for 37 years to Dandenong in the old Cook's facility, with more than double the workshop area and capacity.
